Lone Worker

 

The Lone Worker system is designed to offer safety for people who work alone or in a potentially hazardous environment. Providing regular check up calls and easy duress activation, Lone Worker aims to quickly identify workers who may be in duress.

 

 

 

 

 

When a worker commences their shift for the day they log on using a short cut key programmed into their mobile phone. The worker is then able to record a message in the system, notifying of their movement for the day, or period of time. At this point they also select if and when they would like their check up calls throughout the day. 

 

When check up time comes, the system dials the worker to request their PIN. If they do not answer their phone it will try them two more times before an alarm is raised. The alarm protocol will be customised to each individual and may involving listening to their pre recorded message to determine their location and contacting their supervisor to notify them of the situation.

 

If the worker does answer and successfully enter their PIN, the system will simply dial again at the next set time.

 

In an emergency the worker can press number 5 on their phone, which will immediately call the response centre, notifying them that the worker is in a duress situation.

 

 

 

Lone worker is suitable for people who work alone or are very mobile.

 

 

 

 

 

Fixed Location Lone Worker systems are often used by people who work on their own or in a hazardous environment.

 

 

 

Fixed Location Lone Worker uses an alarm unit that can be activated by a personal radio trigger or sensor. Multiple personal radio triggers and sensors can be programmed into any one alarm, allowing multiple people, activities and environmental changes to be monitored.  When the alarm is activated by a radio trigger or sensor it dials Tunstall’s 24 hour response centre or a designated responder.

 

The Tunstall response centre will notify the worker’s designated responder, such as a team leader or manager and if necessary contact emergency services for help.

 

The alarm features a super sensitive microphone and powerful microphone for two way hands free communication. This allows the worker to speak over the alarm even when not within close proximity of the alarm. 

 

Each personal radio trigger has a unique code allowing the response centre to identify which worker has activated an alarm.  Additionally, the personal radio trigger will activate an alarm call up to 50 meters from the alarm unit and can be worn on the wrist, clipped to the belt or worn around the neck as a pendant. 

 

The sensors that can be monitored include Tunstall’s smoke detectors, flood detectors, thermostats, gas detectors and more, alerting of a potentially hazardous environmental situation.
