Fall detector: a hip worn sensor that detects if the wearer has fallen over. This is idea for people who are prone to falling including epileptics and people in wheel chairs.
Epilepsy sensor: used to detect seizures during the night and alert Tunstall’s 24 hour response centre, a family member or a carer.
Chair occupancy sensor: detects if someone has fallen or left their seat, or fallen out of their wheel chair.
Bed occupancy sensor: detects if someone has left their bed and not got up or fallen out of bed during the night.
Enuresis sensor: used to detect moisture in the bed without the person having to be woken up for regular checks.
Smoke detector: provides an alert to the 24 hour response centre, family member or carer, so you can be assisted out of their home in an emergency. This may also be used to assist people with hearing difficulty.
Puffer switch: this switch allows an assistance call to made to Tunstall’s 24 hour response centre, simply by blowing in the puffer switch straw.
Pneumatic switch: this switch allows an assistance call to be made to Tunstall’s 24 hour response centre by lightly pressing the large pressure pad.
Tunstall has created custom switches and devices to assist people with various needs. Some examples of these include:
Touch sensitive switch that activates an alarm call simply by covering the light on the large activation device.
Tapper wands that activate an alarm call by tapping the wand with various parts of the body.
